A redesigned website from UGA Libraries combines information on the research, instruction, and public services and programs available through the three libraries that are housed in the Russell Special Collections Libraries Building.
The new site spotlights the wide array of historical materials, ephemera, and other objects, media, and digital offerings available to researchers from UGA, the Athens community, and beyond. In addition to information on collections and projects such as the Oral History Program, the new site offers information for faculty and instructors on bringing classes to discover the archives, including ways to engage with archivists through the SCL Faculty Teaching Fellows program.
In addition, the site serves to promote the physical and digital exhibits on display in the building’s galleries, as well as events created and hosted by the archivists and staff. Visitors to the building can find maps and parking information, hours, and accessibility information here too.
The Special Collections website also serves as a portal to the individual sites of the Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library, the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, and the Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection.
