Request a Book
All UGA students, faculty, and staff can request and borrow books from UGA Libraries, and from other libraries using the GIL-Express service and Interlibrary Loan.
Request a book pickup from UGA Libraries
Use the GIL-Find Catalog to search for a book at one of the UGA Libraries. Sign-in to request an item for pickup at your preferred library location. You will be notified by email when the requested items are available for you to pick up.
Request a book delivery (faculty only)
Faculty can have books delivered to their campus address using our faculty delivery form.

If a book is unavailable at UGA, you have two options:
Request a book via GIL-Express
If a book is unavailable at UGA, you can use the GIL-Express service to request available items from other University System of Georgia (USG) libraries. GIL-Express requests typically take 3-5 days.
Request a book via Interlibrary Loan
If a book is unavailable at UGA, you can also request it via Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan requests take on average 8 days.
