POSTPONED: Network Maintenance May Impact Library Services Sept. 29

Submitted by Camie on

UPDATE: This has been postponed. Information will be posted when it is rescheduled.

Previously: Students and faculty may want to plan their library needs around a planned network maintenance, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29. The work performed by the UGA EITS Office may cause periodic outages in electronic systems and resources across campus and via online platforms, and this could interfere with accessing online library resources and interrupt service in person.

Because access to UGA Libraries databases and research materials are dependent on SSO access, there may be periods where full-text articles and other services are not available, both on campus and off campus.

For visitors to the Main Library, McBay Science Library, and Miller Learning Center, wifi may be unavailable, which can impact services such as WEPA printing and internet access on laptops and computers. Outages may impact landline telephones and elevator.

Group study room occupancy sensors may be off-line, as well as the reservation system for zoom booths and self-checkout terminals. The MLC's tech lending desk will be closed that day, but students can check out laptops, chargers, calculators, and other available items at the Main and McBay libraries' service desks.
