Join UGA Libraries for a program with famed photographer Nancy Ellison with a reception to follow. The event is free and open to the public but RSVP is required to Leandra Nessel at lnessel@uga.edu or (706) 542-3879.

Nancy Ellison is a fame photojournalist, specializing in character studies and portraits of Hollywood stars, writers, directors, world leaders and many others. Her celebrity portraits feature everyone from Jack Nicholson to Anjelica Huston to Mick Jagger to Grace Jones to Boris Yeltsin. She was also a freelance photojournalist for magazines such as Time, Vogue, and Newsweek

Ellison is noted for her works as author, producer, and photographer with exhibitions at the Metropolitan Opera House, Sotheby's New York, and the Mary Boone Gallery. Her Broadway credits as producer include several award-winning plays such as Thurgood, The Country Girl, and Inherit the Wind. As a philanthropist, Ellison serves on the boards of the American Ballet Theatre and the National Trust for the Humanities. Ellison has published widely and is the author of fourteen books (www.nancyellison.com)
