Salary and Work Life Group
The UGA Libraries Salary Work-Life Group updates the following statistics every two years:
- Faculty salary comparisons between UGA and other ARL, SEC, and Georgia institutions
- Staff salary comparisons between UGA or other ARL, SEC, and Georgia institutions
- Other projects relating to salary and work life issues in the UGA Libraries as directed by the University Librarian and Associate Provost (for example, travel stipends, professional development funding, multi-year contracts, etc.)
These comparisons are compiled into a report, which is presented to the Faculty Advisory Board (FAB), Library Staff Representative Group (LSRG), the Department Heads Group (DHG), and the University Librarian and Associate Provost by the end of January every other year; reports are archived within the Grapevine team. The working group assembles in August every other year.
Membership:
The Head of Library Human Resources is a permanent, ex officio member of this committee.
Every two years the Head of Library Human Resources will solicit FAB and LSRG to each nominate 2 or more individuals to participate in the Salary Work-Life Group (totaling in a minimum of at least 4 nominees).
The University Librarian and Associate Provost will confirm final members of the Salary Work-Life Group by executive appointment.
Once assembled, the Salary Work-Life Group will elect its chair from current membership.
