Curious about using Python for your research but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to make your first steps in Python smooth and accessible. We will teach you how to assign and work with variables, use simple functions and libraries, and handle data with Pandas. No coding experience required. This is not a technical session on installing Python or how the language works on computers – just the essentials to start using Python with confidence.

Fall Into Research: Beyond the Spreadsheet: How to Plan and Preserve Your Research Data

In this session, we’ll explore the essential stages of managing research data, starting with early planning and continuing through active project management to long-term preservation. You’ll gain practical strategies for developing a strong data management approach, including creating a data management plan (DMP), selecting appropriate storage solutions, organizing and documenting your data effectively, and preparing it for future access, reuse, and compliance.
