Main and McBay Science Libraries

Laptops: 7 Day Loans

Laptops are available for students enrolled at UGA to borrow from the Main and McBay Science Libraries circulation desks. The lending period for the laptops is 7 days, no renewals. Repeated late returns may result in access restrictions. Patrons are financially responsible for damages to laptops that occur while laptop is in the patrons' possession. If the laptop is lost, the patron is responsible for the cost of replacement.

** Borrowers must be currently enrolled for credit at the University of Georgia. Faculty and staff who are not students should investigate the equipment available for loan from the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).**

Miller Learning Center (MLC)

Students enrolled at UGA are eligible to borrow laptop computers (7 day loan), Canon DSLR cameras (7 day loan), tripods (7 day loan), and Mac laptop chargers (7 day loan). Tech Lending does not offer renewals.

CARES Laptop Loans Program

The UGA libraries offers one semester laptop loans for enrolled students. Laptops will be due back two business days after the last day of finals.

Due to limited availability, laptop requests are first come, first served.

 

Other Loans

Calculators and Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headsets are also available for enrolled students to borrow at the McBay Science Library circulation desk. The loan period for calculators varies from 6 hours to 7 days depending on the model. The loan period for the VR headsets is 7 days, no renewals. Late returns may result in access restriction.  Patrons are financially responsible for damages to VR headsets that occur while the VR headset is in the patrons' possession. If the VR headset is lost, the patron is responsible for the cost of replacement.
