Intro to Metrics and Analytics Using Web of Science, InCites, and OpenAlex Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn how to move beyond citation counts and will be shown how Web of Science, InCites, and OpenAlex can be used to understand patterns in research activity and impact. Participants will learn how to identify prolific authors, institutions, journals, funders, and more from a search set in Web of Science and explore benchmarking metrics available in InCites and OpenAlex. Responsible use and pitfalls of metrics will also be discussed.
