If you're sending a little one off for the first day of school, the Curriculum Materials Library, 207 Aderhold Hall, has a collection of books to help ease fears and get new students off to a good start.
The Curriculum Materials Library, 207 Aderhold, will be closed the entire Memorial Day weekend: Saturday, Sunday & Monday. The book drop to the right of the CML entrance is always available for returning books. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, May 30th.
All Circulation services provided through the UGA Libraries' current computer system will be taken offline on Monday, May 22, in preparation for our move to a new system. Only minimal Circulation services will be available at the libraries' service points on campus and at remote sites. There will be no access to any online Circulation services (online renewals, requesting, etc.) from Monday, May 22 thru Thursday, May 25. The end of the school year means the beginning of summer reading programs. Let the Libraries help save you time & money. Borrow what you need! Summer Reading Lists for Local Schools matches the lists with what the Libraries own. The Curriculum Materials Library is in 207 Aderhold Hall and in addition to the titles on the lists we have thousands of other books, from board books for babies to Young Adult lit, which includes a lot of recent movies (The Fault in Our Stars, Everything, Everything, The Hunger Games, Twilight and, of course, Harry Potter for example) so we have something for everyone. And puppets. And fake food. :-)

Return books even when we're closed! There is a book return slot in the door to the RIGHT of the CML entrance.
If rainy days make you gloomy, let the Curriculum Materials Library perk you up. We have more than 100 titles on rain & rainy days. A really great one is Raindrops Roll, (Juv GB 848. S28 2015) which features beautiful close-ups of flowers and creatures in the rain and has a rhyming text throughout.
Beginning Monday, March 20th, and continuing on Mondays through April 3rd, the Curriculum Materials Library will host reading sessions for the students of the McPhaul Center. The small students will arrive about 9:30 and stay until 10:45. Students from Language & Literacy Education in the College of Ed will also be here, reading to the children. The CML welcomes patrons during these times, but please be prepared for lots of joyous sounds.
The Curriculum Materials Library will have limited hours during Spring Break:
March 5th & March 12th--Closed
March 6th through March 10th--limited hours--8:00-5:00
Remember that the book drop is next to the CML door and items retrieved from there are back-dated and marked returned to the last day we were open.
