Join the UGA Special Collections Libraries and The Georgia Review on Friday, April 24th at 6pm at Athica Athens Institute of Contemporary Art for the induction of 2026 Georgia Writers Hall of Fame inductees Alice Friman and Charlie Smith. Enjoy poetry readings of both Smith and Friman's works, with the formal induction of both poets into the Hall of Fame to follow. After the induction, attendees will enjoy a light reception and the art gallery of Athica. 

This event is free and open to the public! Free parking can be found in the complex in which Athica is located.

Join us for an evening of scrapbooking and yapping on March 17 from 6-8:00PM! Paper and scrapbooking supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring photos, journals, and other personal materials. Join us on March 24 from 2-3:30PM for Grieving and Making: Wellness in the Makerspace. In this session, we will explore the connection between art and grief by decorating picture frames. Whether you want to share about your loss or simply create amongst others, this program is here to help you navigate grief through creativity. Professionals from the UGA Health Center will be in attendance.
