Beth Tobin will discuss the life and accomplishments of John Abbot, a London-born naturalist artist who, as a young man, moved to Georgia where he drew more than 7,000 watercolor illustrations of North American birds and insects.
Tobin curated the exhibit, “John Abbot: Early Georgia’s Naturalist Artist” in the Hargrett Gallery. Tours will be offered following the talk.
